On November 25, JJR won the first place in the best application track of the 2020 “5G+Disaster Prevention and Mitigation” Application Collection Competition, and was honored with the first prize of the competition.

The opening ceremony of the finals was presided over by Quan Wenjie, member of the Party Leadership Group and deputy director of the regional meteorological bureau. Zhou Yunkuai, member of the Party Leadership Group and deputy director of the regional emergency management department, Zhu Xiaoxiang, deputy director of the National Warning Information Release Center, and Liu Weimin, vice mayor of Nanning Municipal Government, delivered speeches at the competition and announced the opening of the finals. Leaders and guests from the organizing units of the competition and financial investment institutions attended the opening ceremony of the finals.
This competition is jointly organized by the Nanning Meteorological Bureau, the Nanning Big Data Development Bureau, the Nanning Emergency Management Bureau, the Nanning Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and the Nanning Science and Technology Bureau, and jointly co-organized by the Huawei (Nanning) Software Development Cloud Innovation Center and others. Since its launch, the organizing committee of the competition has held multiple “online + offline” competition promotions in Nanning of Guangxi Station, Chengdu of Southwest Station, Hangzhou of Yangtze River Delta Station, Shenzhen of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Station, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and other places, further deepening the understanding of the competition among all sectors of society and their confidence in participating. In total, the competition received 55 participating projects from across the country, including 22 in the Best Creative Solution Group and 33 in the Best Application Practice Group.
Senior experts from the Public Service and Emergency Reduction Department of the National Meteorological Administration, the National Early Warning Information Release Center, South China University of Technology, Sun Yat-sen University, as well as investment partners and investment and financing consultants from well-known investment and financing institutions, comprehensively scored the functionality, practicality, promotion and application prospects, and social benefits of the participating projects.
Among the participating projects, many project owners have the educational background of top domestic and foreign universities such as London Business School, Ohio State University, Tsinghua University, Beijing Jiaotong University, etc., and have nearly 100 patents.
After several rounds of intense competition, JJR stood out with the “JJR Smart Agriculture Cloud Platform”. During the competition, Manager Qin Mingguan from JJR Digital Agriculture Innovation Center comprehensively explained and demonstrated the platform to the experts, and also gave professional answers to the experts’ opinions and suggestions. The practicality, functionality and promotion value of the platform were highly recognized by leaders and authoritative experts at all levels, and finally won the first place in the best application track and the first prize of the competition.
This award marks that JJR has been recognized by all sectors of society in the application field of digital agriculture, and shows the characteristic application and ecological leadership of JJR digital agriculture in exploring 5G application needs, disaster reduction and prevention.
